Lazowski, Claude-François: Born into a Polish family in the Lorraine, Lazowski was the Inspector General of the King’s Commerce and Factories in Paris when the Revolution started. A hero of the storming of the Tuileries (August 10, 1792) and a member of the Insurrectionary Commune, he became one of the main figures of the sans-culottes in Parisian working-class neighborhoods.
