Voltaire, François-Marie Arouet, otherwise known as: Along with Rousseau, this philosopher, famous for advocating tolerance and freedom, was considered to be one of the founding fathers of the French Revolution, even if he was far from being revolutionary. In 1791, his ashes were triumphantly transferred to the Panthéon.
