Louis XVII, Louis-Charles de France, otherwise known as: The second son of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette, he became the heir-apparent in 1789. Imprisoned with his family, he was still acknowledged as the future heir of the French Crown by the nobles who fled the country after the execution of Louis XVI on January 21, 1793. He died in captivity in the Temple prison in 1795.
