Fabre d’Églantine, Philippe-François-Nazaire Fabre, otherwise known as: An actor, playwright and poet, Fabre d’Eglantine was involved in the Cordeliers Club, a radical club during the Revolution. Elected deputy in 1792, he was close to the Montagnards and in favor of a democratic and social republic. Co-author of the Republican calendar, he was accused of corruption and indulging counter-revolutionaries. He was executed at the same time as Danton and Desmoulins on April 5, 1794.
